Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatahu

Jummah's Message

Assalamo Alaikum WaRahmatullahiWaBarakatahu,

Insha Allah you are all in the best state of health and Imaan. Just a small reminder to recite Allahuma Sallay Ala Muhammadin Abdika Wa Nabiyika Wa Rasoolikan Nabiyyil Ummiyi. Reciting this darood and salaam upon Nabi SAW 80 times on Friday takes away 80 years of sin. Many people have asked for reference for this action. And here it is...(This Hadith is considered is “Hasan” by Abu Abdillah Al-Nu’man- Al-Qawl al-Badee’, pg 382, Al Muassah al-Rayyan / Takhreej Al-Ihya with Ihya, vol 1, pg 247, Dar Al-Hadith

Juwairiyah bint Al-Harith (May Allah be pleased with her) reported, the Mother of the Believers: The Prophet SAW (peace be upon him) came out from my apartment in the morning as I was busy in performing the dawn prayer. He came back in the forenoon and found me sitting there. The Prophet SAW (peace be upon him said, "Are you still in the same position as I left you." I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon the Prophet SAW said, "I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier. These are: Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, `adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinatah `arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi [Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throne and equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise)]."[Sahih Muslim]. Take two minutes to memorise the above and repeat it three times in the morning and in the evening. And it really does take only two minutes.

We have all seen the pictures and videos on the TV and internet and we have shed a tear or two for our brothers and sisters who are being slaughtered by the enemy.

Many of us have lifted our hands in supplication and for some of us this may be for the first time, and yet the massacre has continued. Are our duas going unanswered? We should be asking the question WHY?What is our relationship with Allah SWT.What right have we got to ignore the commands of Allah SWT and deny his favours and now when we call for Him, we can expect first class tickets to His Bounty.Surely doesn’t Allah SWT have the right to say “Who is calling me” when we call for Him.

Imagine the conversation.

“Allah SWT its me Imran/Saima”.

Allah SWT replies “Imran/Saima Who.I can see your deeds for the last 20 years and you have never registered your name with the Angels by praying your salah, reciting the Quran, keeping your fast.So I don’t recognise you, don’t call me again”.

How many of us are experiencing this conversation. I saw many brothers and sisters in a local demonstration, and Alhamdulillah it was good to see such support for the Muslim cause.  But many of them were violating Islamic law by not dressing properly and by their conduct. How, my brothers and sisters can we expect Allah SWT to change our affairs when we are in acts of open disobedience.

This is a time of unity for the ummah but it is also a time of reflection on where we are and where we are heading.  The problems facing Muslims around the world today can easily be upon us, it is just by Divine Mercy that it is not.  Allah SWT can easily send his wrath upon us.  We need to learn to protect ourselves by becoming better Muslims.  It is only by doing this that Allah SWT will give us victory against the non believers.

Whatever is happening is by the will of Allah SWT, and we must not forget this.  If Allah SWT wills He can easily stop this and He doesn’t need an army from the “Muslim” countries to do this as mentioned in the Quran in Surah Feel when Allah SWT sent an army of birds.  Allah SWT can easily do this but He is not.  Why, do we as Muslims deserve to be saved by our actions?

Time is fast running out, our Muslim brothers and sisters across the world are dying as martyrs, straight path to Jannah (Heaven) Insha Allah, but what about us? Where will our final destination be? Only we can decide, we need to act and act now before it is too late.

I apologise if you found some of my words harsh, they we not meant to cause anger but reflection, Allah SWT is there but we must find Him.

I would like to end with the first part of the topic of Test from Allah SWT.

Al-Ibtilaa' (Allah's Tests) Part 1

Al-Ibtilaa' means to be tried or tested. Allah tests us with wealth, plenty, ease and power just as He tests us with poverty, hardship and oppression. Al-Ibtilaa' is a sunnah of Allah Most High. Throughout history, Allah has tested the bearers of His messages and others among His slaves. The test of Allah can be very hard, but by means of it Allah raises the level of His prophets and erases the sins of the righteous believers. The complete defeat of the Muslims and the overrunning of their homes and property by the disbelievers is NOT one of Allah's tests which he puts on the believers. Rather, it is a sign of their having fallen out of Allah's favor through their crimes and sins.

The Prophet(sas) informed us that the presence of tests indicates the presence of iman and that a believer may continue to be tested until he has no sin remaining. Although Allah's tests can benefit us in the long run, a believer does not wish for the test of Allah - rather he always hopes for the forgiveness and mercy of Allah Most High. Allah said in the Qur'an:

{And we will surely test you with some fear, hunger and shortages of property, people and produce. But give good tidings to the steadfast. Those who, when a calamity befalls them say: "We belong to Allah and to Him we return." Upon these are prayers from their Lord and mercy and these are the rightly-guided ones.}Al-Baqarah: 155-157

Allah's test which we may face include:

Fear- a state of insecurity and fear from harm which may be inflicted by enemies or oppressive rulers or common criminals. This is a test currently being faced by Muslims in many parts of the world.

Hunger- local famines from natural causes or as a result of war and oppression.

Shortage of Property- caused by imbalances in the Muslim Ummah and the failure for parts of it to help other parts. There will never global poverty or famine in this Ummah because Allah has promised never to destroy the Muslims with these things.

Shortage of People- from death through diseases or jihad or the abandmonent of Islam by many of its people.

When afflicted with these kind of tests, a believer remembers Allah and that Allah created us from nothing, is in full control of all events and is the one who we will face for judgement in the hereafter. This is the consciousness of the qadr (omnipotence) of Allah Most High. This is the consciousness which gives us patience and steadfastness before whatever tests we may face from Allah.

Assalamo Alaikum
